Optimal surfaces
Before you order your new interior details, it is good to find a place for where you want them to sit.
Then you have the chance to find the most optimal surface that extends both the durability and longevity of the product!
The absolute best possible surfaces are the following; Tile, Varnished or veneered board materials.
Areas to avoid; Wallpaper/tissue, uneven/Rugh surfaces and wet room loss.
The reason why tiles are one of the best surfaces for attachment is because they are attached to the wall, plus they usually have a smooth, glossy surface which means that the 3M tape will have optimal adhesion. The same principle applies to lacquered and veneered board materials. These materials are also not damaged if you would like to disassemble and replace products in the future. If you would like to attach the products to a wall that is wallpapered or woven, there is a risk during loading that not only the product will come down, but also the wallpaper or fabric. When adhering to rough or uneven surfaces, the adhesive ability of the tape deteriorates. It then becomes more difficult for the tape to contact the entire surface. Surfaces, such as wet room wallpaper, tend to slip and therefore it becomes more difficult for the tape to adhere.

Preparations
For the best possible results and durability, we recommend that you follow the steps below:
1. Location
To get the optimal placement on your products, we recommend that you use a spirit level, especially when installing towel rails and shelves. For example, if the product is to be mounted on different tiles, it is important to check that the mounting tiles are at the same level and that they have the same angle. This is because it is optimal with an even weight distribution over the entire product, for the best possible results and durability. Therefore, feel free to measure out where and how you want the product to sit.

2. Cleaning
Start by cleaning the surface with water, feel free to use a spray bottle to distribute the water. Then wipe off the water with a dry cloth. Instead of detergent, use a cleaning cloth when mounting 3M your product. You can find your 3M surface cleaner sachet here. The use of the 3M sachet improves the product's adhesion as it effectively removes dirt, grease and other unwanted particles.
