Come home to Mathilda!
She runs the instagram account @mathildasinterior.
Mathilda, 30, lives with her partner and two children on a small farm outside Hässleholm, Skåne. They bought the farm with the idea of completely renovating the house but they ended up demolishing everything and rebuilding it, piece by piece and they still have a lot left!

Mathilda works as a stylist for a real estate agency and with her social media.

You can find her Instagram profile here>

At her home you will find styled images, straight lines and earthy tones.

"Being able to create and be creative

is like balm for the soul for me."

For Mathilda, it's important to post content that inspires and engages people. Her Instagram story, on the other hand, lets you keep up with everyday life with kids, tips and ideas and a slightly more uncluttered angle than her otherwise tidy Instagram feed.

How would you describe your interior design style?

Minimalist but cosy probably explains it pretty well! I like it simple but need to add a personal touch to make it feel like home.

What is your favourite product from Beslag Online?

Simple. The Helix - stripe door handles are MAGIC. Sometimes it feels like they are designed for our home! Simple, stylish and with that little bit extra.

Do you have any tips for those going through a similar renovation journey as you?

Consider if it might actually be better to tear down and build new. It rarely saves time or money to try to "patch and mend." Especially if it's as big a project as we've been through. Redraw the house, redraw the house, redraw it again and again. But keep in mind that the first thoughts are usually the best ones but may just need a little tweaking!

Do you have any upcoming projects in your home?

Well we won't be dropping the hammer for many years...

We have our exterior that is half finished. When you renovate as we have done, you have to take a lot in stages which has meant that some things are not happy until something else is started or finished. Like our panel on the house we have not been able to put all the way up because we are doing a roof replacement which will affect part of the panel at the top.

Then we have a patio to finish, the upstairs to start and a garden to fix. After that we have a whole basement level to sink our teeth into, but that won't be for a few years!

Thank you Mathilda for giving us so much inspiration and thank you for your lovely photos!
